Our Experience with California Air Tools 10020C:
Our main reason for purchasing California Air Tools 10020C is to have quiet operating air compressor. And it is definitely quiet and meets our expectations. The system in this unit to compress and store air is top notch. It has quiet pump and nice size and format.
The unit operates with little vibration and the tank fills quickly from empty in just around 2 minutes. We like the high mounting couplers; overall the interface panel is well laid out.
There are also some things that we think could be improved. The wheels are a soft rubber which marks floors easily. Also the odor produced by whatever rubber they use is very overpowering for the first few months.
Another issue we found with the wheels is they don’t particularly install very tight. We found them wobble when wheeling. We think a few washers on the mounting bolt will fix this wobble.
In California Air Tools 10020C, drain valve is located on the lowest point of the tank ensuring you get a complete drain of any fluid buildup.
The drain valve has a plastic tap and seems very fragile when operating. We think a full brass tap would be more robust in this price range.
